The mother of Stanley Willard Henson, Jr, a physician, and Thelma Burnell Henson, Michele Carey whose birth name is Michele Lee Henson was born on February 26, 1942 at Annapolis, Maryland in the United States of America. Her piano skills were exceptional in her teens and won the national competition at the Chicago Music Festival at just 13 years old. The family moved to Fort Collins in Colorado, and she finished her high school studies in Fort Collins High School in 1960.
