Jennifer Tilly was conceived in Los Angeles on 16 September 1958 in very poor circumstances. Her mother worked as a schoolteacher and an unsuccessful actor while her father was a salesman for cars. Jennifer was the second child of her parents and frequently accompanied her mother who worked as a teacher at school and a theater teacher, to performances. Jennifer found her performance impressive.
