Alex Guarnaschelli

Guarnaschelli, Maria Guarnaschelli's daughter , is a cookbook editor. In 1991, she graduated Barnard College with an art historical degree. The year she graduated, she worked the minimum wage at a restaurant known as an American Place for one year. Guarnaschelli's love for cooking began when watching her mother test numerous recipes at home as she edited books. Guarnaschelli's first job was with Larry Forgione. Her son Marc Forgione was the Iron Chef. Guarnaschelli went on to work at various eateries throughout France and Los Angeles. Guy Savoy runs La Butte Chaillot. Guarnaschelli also worked for Daniel Boulud's restaurant named after him and Joachim Splichal's Patina prior to becoming the executive chef at Butter. She was executive chef at the Darby restaurant before its closing. She serves as chairperson of the Museum of Food and Drink's Culinary Council. Guarnaschelli has released her first book in 2013. "Old-School Comfort Food The Way I learned to Cook" blends personal details and some of her favorite dishes of her professional career that she adapted for the house. Alex Alex Alex
